Developing leadership in postdoctoral nurses: A longitudinal mixed-methods study

BackgroundPostdoctoral nurses have an important role in advancing nursing by generating knowledge and building networks research, practice, education which requires effective leadership. Therefore, the Leadership Mentoring Nursing Research programme for postdoctoral was developed.PurposeThis study to evaluate expectations, experiences, perceived influence of leadership mentoring on professional development, identity, research productivity nurses.MethodsA longitudinal mixed-method with a concurrent triangulation design used data collected through semistructured interviews online surveys.FindingsThe found be valuable participants who described strengthened development identities. Participants showed increased many moved new/higher positions.DiscussionThe enhance support them their academic careers.
